This is Pam's cat Shilo. She is guarding the cat door so the dog won't use it. Every time the dog goes near it, she hisses. Her little face looks so cute! You would never know she is a piranha with fur.

There is a new book out called "The Journey of the Italians in America." The author had contacted my cousin and me last year, looking for pictures of Italian Americans working. We sent her this picture. It shows my great grandmother and my grandfather as a young man. This is the same grandfather, featured a couple of days ago on the blog, that was holding me! Anyway, if you can read the caption, it says that my great grandmother volunteered for the Red Cross! I had really totally forgotten that, but I think it is very, very cool.
