Our Red Cross chapter is right across the street from the Auditorium Theater. Guess what's coming? The truck pulled in today and I snapped this.

There are at least three Canada Geese families that roam around behind our houses. This is a photo of one little gosling who is lame. He tries to keep up with his family by hopping, but they go too fast for him and he ends up getting left to struggle to catch up. It breaks my heart. He is to the left of the tree in front of the reeds. I'll put more pictures on the regular blog.

Larry was working on this huge pile of mulch he had delivered today. It was getting dark, but he kept going. He hauled it out back and I raked it around. The sky was just beautiful, too! It really was that pink.

This little pretty robin was hopping around outside my window at work yesterday.

Whoo Hoo! I finally found decent shoes at DSW. I HATE tie shoes but my feet need them sometimes. These seem okay.

I love these socks. They are called "Mismatched Socks" and come from Vermont. They are warm and cozy and make me and my toes very happy.

Went to a fire early this morning. They called at 5AM. It was a vacant building but we went to provide refreshments to the firefighters.

These pretty flowers and the card are from the Red Cross Disaster and Emergency Services in honor of  Volunteer Appreciation week. The roses were alive last week but they didn't last as long as the lilies. They are just the loveliest color.

The tulips are just about to open up! Our garden is a little later than others, for some reason. Some neighborhood rhododendrons are already out and blooming, but ours barely has buds. Maybe because the bush is facing north?

Larry has a new hobby. He makes scones! The ingredients are just flour baking soda, salt and buttermilk. He put craisins in these. They are really good!

Larry and I are "parents" for the night! We have a great 13 year old young man staying with us for an overnight while his parents are out of town. We could get used to this!
